The town of Asten has a rich history dating back to the 13th century. Asten lies nearby the border of the provinces Noord-Brabant and Limburg. The cities of Eindhoven and Helmond can easily be reached. The 'Nationaal Beiaardmuseum' has a unique collection of clocks and bells. The ruins of the castle of Asten and the farmhouse are listed as a national monument. Throughout the centuries the castle was the property of many noble families and it was rebuilt several times until it was bombarded and burnt down in 1944.
